Mutli-Tiered Cultural Arts Program
For over a decade allgo has successfully developed cutting-edge programming that engages community members on a number of issues through the arts. ALLGO's Cultural Arts Program is committed to nurturing and exploring queer people of color aesthetics by providing resources and audiences for diverse artists while allowing communities to experience art which reflects our experience and illuminates our struggles. The Cultural Arts Program comprises: Artist Residencies; Community Cultural Events; Workshops; Artist/Community Dialogues; Seminars; Cultural Production; Publishing; and Visual Art Exhibits. Community Cultural Events: focused on affirming and celebrating various facets of our communities’ diverse cultural experiences and identities. Such events include: Day of the Dead, Chile con Lengua, AfroCaribean Queer Womyn’s Night, Dia de la Raza, and When Fire & Rain Leave the Earth. Artist/Community Dialogues: With Our Mouths Open is a community dialogue series created to actively engage community members around various topics.
